With the arrival of the wind power maintenance cycle, wind power equipment maintenance had become a big problem. At present, the maintenance of wind power equipment is mainly carried out by large-scale crawler crane with long maintenance cycle and high maintenance costs.

Weihua Group has been committed to the research and development of wind power equipment maintenance crane and successfully developed the pole climbing crane for wind turbine maintenance. This crane mainly consists of four major components: adaptive non-destructive clamping climbing system, high winch folding hoisting system, hydraulic system and electrical control system. We have applied for 4 national utility model patents and 1 national invention patent for this wind turbine climbing crane.

Adaptive Non-destructive Clamping Climbing System:
There are 4 clamping arms in contact with the wind turbine pole. This system is to avoid damage to the pole surface while increasing the friction and pressure. Just like human climbing a tree, the 4 arms works by 2 groups driven by telescopic cylinder to achieve climbing process. The control system is computer programmable. The movement is controlled by electrical and hydraulic control system.

High Winch Folding Hoisting System:
High winch folding hoisting system is mainly composed of hoisting machine, rotary mechanism, telescopic device, etc., which can carry out vertical and horizontal movement. Rotary mechanism, telescopic device can achieve all-round work of the crane also make the machine easy to transport, in the country is still the first research and development.

Hydraulic Control System:
The use of two sets of hydraulic system with proportional control not only improves the safety of the entire hydraulic system, but also reduces the equipment energy consumption and security risks to provide protection for the entire equipment operation.
