The balanced wheel set or boogie is mainly applied to large capacity Bridge Crane traveling mechanism, or Gantry Crane traveling mechanism. Usually for light duty bridge crane, end carriages are used for the crane traveling mechanism.

What is a wheel set?

Wheel set is composed of wheels, shaft, bearing and bearing box. The wheel is used to support the crane and load, and make the crane reciprocate travel on the track rail.

What is a balanced wheel set?

When multiple wheel sets are to be installed at each supporting point, a balance frame is usually used to connect the multiple wheel sets to form a balanced wheel set or boogie. The wheel sets are connected with each fulcrum by using a threaded shaft to balance the load carried by each wheel set. The balanced group is selected according to the president's charge at each support point, the number of wheel groups, and the different types of the wheel set.
